The Bible is for our instruction. There is nothing new under the sun. Every contemporary issue has a Biblical Precedent. We might even come to expect that many of the same issues that surfaced in Biblical Times might surface again today.

ISSUES SURFACING IN BOTH BIBLICAL TIMES AND TODAY

We expect that persons today might still worship false gods because persons worshipped false gods in Biblical Times.

We expect that persons today might still mistakenly kill in the name of God because persons mistakenly killed in the name of God in Biblical Times.

We expect that persons today might still need “ears to hear” to comprehend things spiritual because persons needed “ears to hear” to comprehend things spiritual in Biblical Times.

THE NEED FOR “EARS TO HEAR” TO COMPREHEND THINGS SPIRITUAL

In Biblical Times, Jesus spoke of the need for “ears to hear” to comprehend things spiritual (Matthew 13:13-16). Today, in the war against the flesh, there is still a very real need.

With the best of intentions, most builders of Bible-based purity programs insist that flesh-starving accountability is the addict’s only way of escape from addictive lusts of the flesh. But Scripture teaches that there is another way of escape. A wholly Spirit-powered way (Galatians 5:16).

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

Has having found one way of escape dulled the hearing of most builders of Bible-based purity programs? Has having found a flesh-starving way of escape resulted in most no longer having “ears to hear” of another wholly Spirit-powered way?

A GAME-CHANGING BOOK HAS ARRIVED

In A Way of Escape, readers learn how to train their ears/eyes to hear/see movings of the Spirit. Readers learn how to step up the degree to which they “walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:16) by immersing themselves in these Spirit movings. They learn how ears/eyes trained to hear/see things spiritual can be used to build a library of Spirit-anointed, flesh-diffusing apps. Apps that are uniquely fitted to them, and their unique Spirit-filling triggers (Ephesians 5:18b-19).

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

The still-struggling now have another option. The still-struggling now have fresh hope for discovering that long-sought-after way of escape from temptation and resulting sin (I Corinthians 10:13). A way that—because it is wholly Spirit-powered—does not require enlisting the aid of an accountability partner or group. Truly, a game-changer!

THANK YOU, HOLY SPIRIT!
