A good number of Bible-based purity programs are modeled after the World’s flesh-starving, 12-Step, accountability-based programs. Of the purity programs that are not 12-Step, most are still accountability-based flesh-starvers.

Flesh-starving accountability has been proven—in both the World and in Bible-based purity programs. But most of those wanting to quit porn are understandably too ashamed of their habit to seek accountability-based help. One survey puts the number at a whopping 83%. That is correct. A whopping 83% of persons wanting to quit porn still have nobody in their life to help them quit [1].

Quite the dilemma for the 83%. And particularly for those that are still in the World. Why? Because flesh-starving accountability is the World’s only option.

The news is much better for those of the 83% that are born-of-the-Spirit believers. Despite Bible-based purity program builder’s well-intentioned insistence to the contrary, the Church does have another option. The Church does have another option for reprogramming a porn-addicted brain.

ANOTHER OPTION FOR REPROGRAMMING A PORN-ADDICTED BRAIN

Yes, another option. There are two. Accountability reprograms the brain by starving the flesh. While a wholly Spirit-powered option reprograms the brain by feeding the Spirit. The result? Two separate, distinct, and fundamentally different ways of reprogramming the brain.

The World’s only option, of course, is accountability. Grit-your-teeth, strap-yourself-in, white-knuckle-it accountability. But the Church has another option. A zero-shame, escape-without-accountability, much easier-to-successfully-navigate, wholly Spirit-powered option.

A GAME-CHANGING BOOK HAS ARRIVED

In A Way of Escape, readers learn how to build a zero-shame, escape-without-accountability, much easier-to-successfully-navigate, wholly Spirit-powered purity program. Readers learn how to reprogram their brains—not by starving the flesh—but by stepping up the degree to which they “walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:16). They learn how to build a library of Spirit-anointed, flesh-diffusing apps. Apps that are uniquely fitted to them, and their unique Spirit-filling triggers (Ephesians 5:18b-19).

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

The still-struggling 83% now have another option. The still-struggling 83% now have fresh hope for discovering that long-sought-after way of escape from temptation and resulting sin (I Corinthians 10:13). A way that—because it is wholly Spirit-powered—does not require enlisting the aid of an accountability partner or group. Truly, a game-changer!

THANK YOU, HOLY SPIRIT!
